The Robert F. Schaper Heart Center

About Robert F. Schaper

Robert Schaper

Tomball Regional Medical Center's Heart Center was named after the hospital's 29-year CEO veteran. Robert F. Schaper, a true visionary, built a small community hospital of 70 beds into one of the largest and most respected regional medical centers in Texas.

"Building Tomball Regional Medical Center from scratch and watching it flourish has been my proudest career accomplishment," said Schaper. "Our goal with the new Heart Center is to bring the talent of our interdisciplinary team to treat heart disease at all stages and all under one roof." Mr. Schaper will always be remembered for his many contributions to Tomball Regional Medical Center and the city of Tomball.

Bob Schaper, a respected leader, businessman, mentor, and philanthropist was proud of the way hospital employees continue to provide “professional care with warmth” regardless of how big the hospital grew. That phrase became the hospital's slogan and mission in 1976 and remains in place today.
