Wholesome, nourishing, and well-balanced meals are an important part of your treatment and recovery process. Tomball Regional Medical Center will tailor meals to your specific needs, as prescribed by your physician. Patients are encouraged to rely on the hospital for their intake of food and beverages. In the event that you and your family bring food into the hospital, please contact your nurse to ensure that it meets your dietary restriction and can be included in the record of your food and liquid intake.
Patient meals are served at approximately the following times:
Breakfast: 7:15 a.m. until 8:45 a.m.
Lunch: 11:15 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Dinner: 4:15 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Occasionally your meal may be delayed when you are scheduled for a specific test or treatment. Whenever possible, you will be served after examination or test.
Meals for families and guests are available in the Tower Restaurant (located in the main hospital lobby). The Tower Restaurant is open 6:30 a.m.—11:30 p.m., 7 days a week. Meal services are offered during the following times:
Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Dinner: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Limited menu served between 2 and 4 everyday.
Vending machines for snack and beverages are located in the cafeteria and throughout the hospital and are available 24 hours a day. Please ask the nursing staff for the closest vending machine location.
Medical Nutrition Therapy—A registered and licensed dietitian will meet with you to discuss your current eating habits, laboratory values, diagnosis, height and weight and personally plan a meal plan with you and your lifestyle in mind.
